Just moved here from california and obviously i used the West dvd, since illinois is mid-west do i still use the west or do i use the east dvd now? thanks!!!

Illinois is a "redundant" state, as far as the map discs are concerned. You can use either.

it doesnt work on both. in missouri you need west and the ill side you need east. i dont know if you can find one disc for the two states, if so someone let me know because it sucks going back and forth between the two

There are a bunch of states in the middle that are on both disks. Illinois is one of them so you can use either disk
