ok i have a question ive been roaming around this site for a while i see a couple hacks i want to do ex POI hack but i dont have a clue as the first thind to do. What i got so far is i need a sd card i know sad, can some one please give me a step by step on how to upload mods please please thank you..... by the way i got a f700

The following will get you into the Windows CE desktop

1. Download the Testmode.zip file folder from:

2. Use Winrar (people have reported problems with Winzip) and open up Testmode.zip

3. Extract BOTH Testmode and MiTACAP files to your desktop by highlighting the folders and clicking the "Extract To" tab on Winrar and selecting "Desktop".

4. Put both the Testmode and the MiTACAP files into the root of your SD card along with your data.zip.

5. Insert the SD card into your unit before turning it on.

6. Turn your car key to the ACC position. The Avic will come up with some strange screen. Let it load and then press the X in the upper right. Click My Device in the upper left of the desktop.

That gets you into the files. There are more steps, but I don't know specifically what mods you want. Please read through the link at the top before you go poking around in the avic's files!

Also It is important that you FIRST, copy any file you plan to overwrite to your SD card so if everything goes south you can just start over from the beginning. I keep a folder on my card called "backup" for that purpose. A few people have found out the hard way on here by not doing that first.
