You'll have full function over the music however it won't play videos.
or charge it. Well it won't charge an iphone, maybe a touch, but not an iphone.
anyone know if it will charge an ipod touch?? if not will the cable cause any damage to the ipod touch??
thanks
Yes, it'll charge the iPod Touch.
it will charge it and play music. no videos. it won't damage it. it will play the sound from videos.
It will only charge the first generation touch.. it wont charge the 2nd generation.
i have the touch and it works with the d3 the only thing that it will not do on the d3 is video with out you hooking up a av out to the av in the back to get video to play. it charges it and work just fine no problems.
I have the Avic D3 and a brand new Ipod Touch Gen2 version. I bought the pioneer cable and connected everything. It does not control the ipod touch!! any ideas??
well it does for me. i can control my music only with the d3. but you will have to manualy use the ipod for video.

It recognizes the IPOd Touch gen 2 but after a few minutes givers an error 11 code. It never allows me to change songs via the D3 and I only get sound from the Ipod Touch itself. it has the updated 2.2 software...
well you might want to jail break your ipod put 1.4 back on it so that you can use it. or get the updated map disks and that might do the trick. i know that 1.4 on the ipod touch firmware works bc i am using it. and i have never update the ipods firmware.

My Touch came with FW 2.2 already installed.....

Hello,
Wilkinda1965: did you set up access password in your iTouch?
It what is happened to me!
iTouch (v 2.2) connected to my AVIC D3, iTouch started but goes to main menu and error 11 came on Pioneer's iPod screen.
Then, I realized password was set. I removed it. Then it works fine since.
Hope it helps.

mine is working fine now even with the password set. I just turn it on prior to starting the car and enter in the password. It connects automatically and starts playing the songs. Only thing i hate is the iPod Touch gen2 will not charge with the CD-200 cable
So with the 1st gen. I-touch it will charge and the 2nd gen. it wont charge. Is that right. There is only 1 store in my area that has the 1st gen so do you all think that would be a better buy or do you think I should just buy the newer 2nd gen?
