Bought a Nano Chromatic and tried to get it to play on my D3... From all the reading I have done I see that it supposedly will not charge. I get the Error-11.

 

Now i've seen a couple different post saying that it will still play audio and some that say it wont work period.

 

So here is my question.

 

I have a older nano. back when they first came out. It charges. I wont be able to see if it play's music till friday, since Im at work all this week.

 

Does anybody know how I can get it to work/charge (nano chromatic), or do I have to find a different iPod, if so which one? (links would be helpful)
