Just curious as to what others have done regarding the door chimes. The vehicle in question is an '07 GMC Sierra Classic Crew Cab. I currently have the D3 installed along with the GMOS-01 adapter. Obviously I want to continue to use the adapter for the RAP feature and warning chimes. My question is regarding the warning chimes. Obviously I'm going to lose them when I install the amps since I will also be running new speaker wire directly from the amp to the speakers. I have a small full-range speaker (1") that I plan on sticking under the dash just for the door chimes. I'm guessing the GMOS-01 produces it's own tones so I assume I can just cut the LF+ & LF- coming out of the GMOS-01 and wire those straight to the small speaker?

Another question I have is about the D3. Is there a way to turn off the high-level outputs internally? I know Alpines offer this as a way to boost pre-amp output. The reason I ask this is if the D3 does not offer this then I assume I need to cut the LF+ & LF- going from the D3 to the GMOS-01 to prevent music from playing through the door chime speaker?

Or is there a much easier way to go about retaining the chimes with aftermarket amps that I haven't thought of? Any help or advice is appreciated.

One last simple question, I have the ill. wire hooked to the brown/white on the back of the headlamp switch but it has never changed anything on the D3. When I searched this topic, the only helpful info I found was something about making sure the D3 is set to "nighttime". Okay, great. Now how in the heck do I set it to nighttime? For some reason I don't remember seeing that setting anywhere.

I find it hard to believe that nobody has aftermarket amps and wanted to retain the door chimes.
