I'd there a way that I could play the vide from my iPod to the tv cud I tried it but I could hear the vid but can't view it

So the vid from the iPod is npt showing up in the d3 cud of the iPod settings cud I could hear it but the screen stays in nlack

When your playing the vid, does the video play on the iPod itself? If yes, then you have to get into the video settings and look for the TV Out setting.
