I just installed my Avic Z2. Using stock speakers and used wiring harness adapter. The radio works fine - FM/AM I get sound to all speakers. When I put in a CD or DVD, there's no sound - DVD shows movie, but no sound. CD says playing but no sound - also, NAV has no voice directions - however, I can press the Voice icon and get the voice command voice to work?? what is going on?? I can't find anything in the menu's to turn on the sound..

help?

For those that want to know, I found the problem and fixed - it was simply a setting in the AV settings menu under system settings - the Auto ANT button was set to Radio and when I changed to Power, everything worked...not sure why as my car (BMW) doesn't have a power antenna - it's an in glass antenna...

You must be using an external amplifier. There is a remote turn on lead and a power antenna lead. What you are describing indicates that the power antenna lead was used for the remote turn on for your amplifier.
