Hi all,
I just purchased and installed myself the F90BT in my 2003 Honda Pilot. Pretty straight forward as I purchased a harness and dash face plate kit. Finding all speed senor, backup, etc wire was a snap. Even install a PAC-SWPS and it actually works, though not really responsive. Ipod works fairly well though I do have to learn to speak clearly for the unit to understand me. Same goes with the Bluetooth. All in all, a pretty decent unit for all the tech that goes into it.
Here are my questions hopefully someone can answer please.
1)Can I display the speed on the map while driving? (I know I can see it in the GPS signal screen but would be nicer if it display on the map screen)
2)How can I set zoom setting in 3D to stick? I would zoom in to a level I like but then every time I start the car, it goes back to a default zoom level.
3)Also, in 3D mode, I'm not seeing building like the demo on Pioneer's website. I live in a relative large city, Seattle, but no buildings. Is that a setting somewhere?
4)Many times when I stop the car, the direction arrow showing myself would spin around and face another direction. When I drive again, it would spin back to the correct location. I did install my antenna at a 45 degree angle on a flat horizontal surface, could this be it?
5)Is there a hack to automatically click the disclaimer page at start?
6)Is there a way to automatically go to the map screen on start instead of the front selection screen showing the Direction, Contacts, AV?
7)Can the iPod be plugged in indefinitely? Would the ipod turn itself off or would it just drain the ipod's battery and when the car starts, the F90BT would recharge it?
8)In the contact screen, it should a bunch of cartoon heads. Anyway to place image of the person?
Thanks in advance.
