I dont know about buffing scratches out. The part that is scratched is a pretty thin plastic film.

I think you can buy a new screen from Pioneer for less than $100. I think someone has posted a link on here before about it.

yup there are 2 screens make sure to get the outer one. you can buy it from pioneer.com
