Hi,

I am debating whether to buy a used AVIC-HD3 (same as Z2) or a new F900BT. Which is the better option ?

I will connect an Ipod touch to it and use the bluetooth car kit from the headunit.

both units will do both, so the price difference of $750+ is the only difference

the Z series does a few more things, the F series has a few flaws. You didn't put much effort into your post so likewise with mine.

Well the price to me would be about the same for either unit, so it really does come down to whether the HD3/Z2 is a better unit over the F900BT.

I suppose what i'm really asking is irrespective price which is the better unit ?

I have seen the F900BT, but the HD3/Z2 is hard to find here and hardware and hacking wise I don't know if the Z2 is as well catered for.

I have the same question to anyone who have used both Avic Z/HD and Avic F900BT. I assume the Avic F900BT has a nicer faster interface, but how does navigation quality and reliability compare? If the navigation feels and look the same I think I will continue to use Avic Z/HD3 hardware.

I was going to buy a F900BT unit, and find out for my self, but I didn´t. I am still curious.

Anyone seen videos posted that show F900BT actual navigation?
