Just got the z-1 put in the other day to replace my IVAD310. So far i love it even though i havnt had time to figure it out completly zet and the fact that the manual is the first radio owners manual i have ever seen that has had chapters. Any way, is there calibration that has to be done for the nav, the reason i ask is the fact that the speed sense is hooked up and i assume it is workin but the nav is a few tenths of a mile off, not much but i played with it on the way to work and it said i hadnt arived zet but i definetly did, it said i have 2 tenths to go. Do i have to calibrate it, or is this just common, i live in south jersey, i wonder if it is more accurete other places. Onse i find out this info all i have to do is get the flasher circuit in the mail and i can stop flashing the dam headlights, lol. Thanks in advance.

Well once the unit completely learns the vehicle, it maay help with the accuracy. However, that slight inaccuracy is normal at times. It's the map data being off a bit. Same thing happens when I pull up infront of my fiance's house.

i have noticed one day mine will be perfect to an inch and other days it may be off a few feet. For instance it will show a road as directly to my right when it is actually just ahead on my right and so forth. You can fix this sort of. when you are at a red light or i guess if you dont have the bypass, when you are parked somewhere specific like a parking spot in front of a road or a house push menu>settings>edit current location
this lets you move your curser up or down or whatever to kinda resync . it telss teh gps that this is where you are and not 2 tenths away. hope this helps.
