i've read the stickies downloaded testmode and mitacap, unzipped it and downloaded to sd card. put it in the 700bt, turned key on and nothing. no blue screen or anything just runs normal. i have winows vista, i just used the windows extract to unzip the folders, transfered the unzipped testmode and metacap folders onto the card and next my sd card is 512mb and formatted to fat32.SOOOOOO do i need at least 1g or 2g sd card, from what i read on the forums everyone is using 1g or 2g and should i have it formatted to fat32 or what and should i use winrar instead of vista and where do i get the download program for winrar thanks for any help...

1 - unzip the contents of that attachment

2 - Put the two folders contained in that attachment on an SD card.

3 - Put the SD card in the F-series and turn it on

4 - Once it has finished the "copying" close the copying window by clicking the X

5 - You have now booted the unit to windows mode. Enjoy.

i did all that. it does not even copyand i don't even get an x, it boots up like normal and goes to sirius or whatever was last on, its like it does not see the sd card but i can put a splash pic on with no problem

Is you card SD or SDHC? I don't believe the F series will read the SDHC cards. Try putting music or a picture in the card boot normally and access the file from within pioneers os. If you cant its a compatibility issue.

I have a 8gb sdhc card and my f90bt reads it perfect.

Reformat your SD card ( right click, format in my computer)

Unzip files to desktop first!

Transfer the "Testmode Folder" and the "MITICAP Folder" to the SD card.

Place sd card in your avic and turn key to on, it should work!

ok the mapdbinfo cannot be copied to sd card that is what vista says and that was on the testmode folder the metacap went to sd fine so i clicked ok on pc . i also downloaded winrar and it did the samething. i guess i have a crappy sd card and the card is lexar 512MB

Maybe,

1. Borrow or buy a new SD (I'm using Kingston 4GB SDHC) and retry

2. Post your city and hope someone on the board can meet up with you.

3. Enable Remote Desktop on WinCE and use the USB WiFi so an advanced user can review your steps (no- this is not possible for several reasons both hardware and software related- but would be really cool.)

I think the first time i tried testmode i had the same problem and i was using a 512 card as well. i am pretty sure i reformatted using just "FAT" and then it worked. i have sinced used a 16 gig card fat32 and that works fine as well.

ok bought a 2g sandisk, formatted at FAT it took it perfect i think cuz i didn't get that screen that i mentioned before but still does not load in to avic700 does it do it auto matic or what. i have the car off , i put the card in and turn on deck and i get no blue screen it just loads normal like it has no card in its slot.

Copy the files for testmode into the root folder of the SD.

i did that to and nothing does anyone live in salem oregon or close so i can talk to so they can walk me through this or i can call on my cell

Are you fully turning on your car and starting the engine, or are you just turning the key to give your car juice? If you start the engine it won't work. You are just supposed to give it power.

Try to download a new version of test mode, it could be corrupt.

usa and also downloaded testmode twice from here and tried nothing do you think some one can walk me through it on the phone if some one pm me with there #.

alright i downloaded testmode from the sticky and i noticed some text file cannot be transfered and its called mapdbinfo i think i know i mention it in the beginning . i'm using windows vista 32 bit i tried winrar and winzip i have a scandisk sd card at 2g now the only thing i thinl is different is i work for a car audio place and i went to go buy the 700bt from our warehouse i did not get the new 2.0 version so my rep had a stack of sd cards with ver.2.0 that came from pioneer its labeled pioneer gxy1046 ver 2.0 which is probably the same on thier website

on my pc it copies everything to the sd but the mapinfo......its a text file i think

should i put on the sd card testmode and metcap with a mod program and see if it goes in cuz i just been doing just the first two no mod and its testmode on top of list on the sd card than metacap on the bottom. right?
