Hi,

I posted this in general and got a reply from BorisM who said maybe someone could do a script hack for me. Anyone interested in working on this?

"I’m a new AVIC-F900BT user (Santa was good to me) in Brisbane, Australia and I would like to set my F900BT to avoid an area permanently. I can’t find a setting anywhere in the manual or system for this.

A right turn at the end of Coronation drive will be closed for 1½ years and it’s a major intersection used by the route calculator. The area is also not easy to navigate for alternative routes due to the volume of traffic etc. I can't wait for the new maps to arrive so that SUNA will be active. It might transmit that the area is to be avoided.

I hope someone can help. Thank you."

Anyone have any idea if this is possible?

do you have a kind of TMC system over there? if so, then (may be) that closure will be broadcast...

We have a simliar system called SUNA which has just been installed in Melbourne, Sydney & Brisbane I've heard that it will transmits accidents, road closures etc.

The only problem is that the F900BT unit will not use this system until the new maps are released in August 09.

It doesn't seem like anyone is working on this problem so I suppose I will just wait until the new maps appear and keep my fingers crossed that it diverts me around the problem.
