First, great site and lots of great stuff. I searched before asking this question. If I missed the answer please direct me to the right spot.

 

Is there a mod that can put a black background behind the route info in the lower left corner. During the day a white font on a light green background is difficult to read. My cheap Mio C520 had white font black background next to the map and was clear to read.

 

So can the font size for this be increased and the color changed or can just the background of this spot be changed.

Sure it can. If your Mio is from back when they used iGO software, you'd do it exactly the same way, too...

 

Font size and color for route info are in navigatemap_800_480.ui file. It also will show which bitmap is used for the background...
