hey everyone,

well, i bit the bullet and ordered the f700bt from 6ave.com for $398 (i just couldnt pass it up - if i sell the d3 for even half that ill consider it the deal of the century)

at any rate - im wondering if ill need a new wiring harness or if i can just plug in the same one i used with my avic-d3 (i have a 2007 vw gti if that makes any difference at all)

also - im assuming the antenna adapter is the same but i might as well ask about that

finally - and im just throwing this out there in case anyone knows off-hand - but i have the xm box for the d3 - does the f700bt have the same sat-input? if so, that would be great - i wont have to do anything special to get xm up and running with the new head unit

thanks in advance everyone!

EDIT! - sorry everyone! i have one more question - it looks like the gps receiver connection is the same as the one found on the d3 - is there any reason to use the receiver included with the f700bt, or should i just connect my existing gps receiver (as its already properly placed, attached to my dash, and seems to work well)

*Harness is the same, although you wont need the VSS wire.

*XM will work if you have the 920XM box or the 10XMT box (traffic part won't work)

*GPS antenna will work but you will have to change the little plastic connection on the end or it won't fit
