Hi guys,

My real name is Rob, I am 27 yrs old and live in the Netherlands. I have the F900BT (with 2.0 fw) installed in a 2009 Volkswagen Golf (Mk. 6). It's the new Golf by Volkswagen. I got the car last week, so my experience with the Pioneer unit is not more than a week :)

From day 1, I was annoyed with the fact that the guidance voice stops the music from playing. So, I turned off the voice because the screen gave me enough information to navigate. However, whenever I get to a point on my route that requires the unit to 'tell' me that I have to turn or switch lanes or do whatever, the music 'hickups'. Just for a splitsplitsecond, the music stops only to continue again right away.

I find it to be annoying. Since it only is really a fraction of a second, it is really like the unit is thinking 'oh! have to give him directions...oh no wait, he turned the voice off, let's continue with the music'.

Are any of you guys experiencing this problem? Is it something that can be fixed in some way? :)

Thanks in advance guys :)

In AV Settings, I think, there's a Mute option. You can select between having it mute music, attenuate music, or leave music as is and talk over it.

Note: you can change the setting only if you set audio source to OFF.

Thank you for your response. However, I want the voice to be off. I don't want it to mute the music, or leave it as it is and talk over it, I just want the voice to shut up, basically :)

However, when doing this, I am experiencing the music 'hickup'.

Well you can leave the music as is and then mute the guidance voice

Well, the way that I mute the guidance voice is to change the voice volume in the sound-menu. You have 2 slidebars, 1 for the master volume, and 1 for the voice volume. I moved the bar for the voice volume all the way to the left.

However, doing this gives me the problem of the 'hickup'.

Well, if you zero the guidance volume _and_ configure it no NOT mute the music, you'll get what you want...

off topic a bit, but did you connect the yellow wire to the red wire when connecting the harnesses? I am trying to figure out how to configure my F7010 to only turn on when the car is on.
