Hi, newbie here.
Installed a Z1 on a 2001 Porsche 996.
Trying to find our if any other members have a suggestion as how to and
which unit (radar) would integrate with Z1.

As far as I know, none will "integrate" with the AVIC-Z1. I have an Escort Passport 8500 x50 radar detector that is hardwired in my vehicle and it is great. I also have the Escort ZR3-Shifter Laser on the front and rear of my car.

What do you mean - 'integrate'? You mean mute the audio when the radar is alerting?

And if you do mean mute the audio when the radar is alerting, then you need a Radar Detector that has a cell mute wire.

By integrate, I mean any audio or visual output to the Z1.

I don't know of any off the top of my head, but I'm sure with some ingenuity anything is possible.

In my state and many others, radar detectors are illegal.
My interest is to have some visual warning displayed on the screen, and an audible signal(s) through the speakers.
Any ideas ?

Well, the K-40 Undetectable, besides being VG-2 invisible, would not be too difficult to have trigger the phone mute wire.
