how close should the MIC be. Where i have it now is too far and dont have many placement options. if anyone knows feet inches CM which ever your system is.

Mine is on my visor, about 8" or so away I would say. I don't have to be right up on it, as long as the windows are not open its good.

Mine is currently right above my rearview mirror. Unfortunately It cant stay there since there is too much wind noise from the convertible top. I cant even imagine it in the summer. I think I may have to follow Pioneer's advice and find a way to mount it to the steering column.

Had mine on the steering column and it sounded bad, everyone said I was cutting out. I put it up on the headliner to the left of the rearview and it works great! I can even have the fan setting on high with no issues. Even a slightly louder than a whisper could be understood.... suprised the hell out of me espcially since she heard it....

i put mine here, in front of the guage cluster, but it's small enough to not block any vision of the guages. and people say i come in loud and clear.
