Every time i raise the volume level on the unit past certain numbers, the bass become ridiculously distorted. I contacted pioneer and they told me to get my amp checked but that makes no sense since i had the amp working fine and blasting 20 minutes before.... can it be a setting on the unit? Please help so i can have it exchanged though warranty if its the rca's....

Might i add..... the bass works perfectly fine when the volume is between low and normal.... only when i put it loud does the bass turn into only distortion...

Did you have a deck in your car with different preout voltage before?

no sweat!!! i figured out the issue. well sort of...

when i got home, i removed the bezel and the cigarette lighter section (magnum 2006) and when i stared moving the cables around and tryed the sound, it was woking perfectly. i guess there was a bad connection or something grounding itself out..
