was curious if anyone has tried an animated gif for the splash screen? Will the system handle this type of image or does it need to be a jpg?

thx,

Joe

I believe it must be in bitmap or jpeg format

IIRC, Leetcoder tried making .gif's acceptible but I haven't heard any news about it. Like watkch01 said, only jpegs or bmps

Hello folks! I have a 2015 WRX ON ORDER AND A 4000NEX waiting to be installed ASAP, this is a OLD thread but I wanted to ask if this was ever resolved? Can the startup screen be animated? Are there custom backgrounds, images or animations, while music plays?

Excuse the newb...and I thought I'd ask in conjunction with searching.

Thanks in advance!
