Hey, just curious if theres anyone in or around Rochester NY who has installed an F series... I have a g35, so if you have a Nissan/Infiniti that would be even better!
Just out of curiousity, getting the unit on Friday, planning on installing it on Sunday when i get back, as I'm going away for the weekend.
Thanks
Pete
If you have everything you need and are willing to drive to suffolk county I'm free on sunday.
I'm an installer if that makes you feel more comfortable
And he is pretty darn god with the mods also!!! I'd make the trip IF I WERE YOU!
Every once in awhile, I think we should all do a big group hug!

Hey there Pete! Let me know when you get the dash piece today!
(I sold Pete the double din fascia for his G from another site)
CatchMe is one of the more stellar dudes on the site, so if at all possible, I would attempt to have him help you out. Let us know how it all goes, and make sure you do a ton of research on this site in regards to the F-series.
So many problems are solved, tips shared, hacks done, etc. that I really think it is the best headunit out there right now. Good luck, and stay warm during that install!
Cheers,
Kev

I said I'll help if he's willing to take the drive. But I can help you out also if you're willing to drive.
well im not to familiar with what or where suffolk county is lol. but its not too far ill drive there
It's the center of Long island. I'm not too familiar with Upstate NY but it took me 5 hours to get to Cortland when I visited there.
lol
one of my roomates lives in Wantagh and its a 7 hour drive.... don't think thats going to happen
BTW, when you drove to cortland you probably drove directly by my hometown in middle of nowhere ny
Thanks for the offer, but not so sure thats gonna happen lol
ya lol rochester to suffolk is about 7 hours. hell, from my house in binghamton its still 4 hours
You live in Binghamton? I live just up 88 between Oneonta and Sidney.... Actually going home this weekend, but decided to wait until I get back to ROC to do the install, because I don't want to get stranded on Sunday at home because I didn't get it done, as I have class at 9 on Monday
lol where on 88? i played football for seton catholic so we played all the schools out there like sydney, walton, dehli, unidilla, etc....
Just west of Unadilla in a town where cows outnumber people called Gilbertsville
I am in Rochester (Penfield). I am by no means a pro installer, but have put aftermarket systems in most of my cars, including a D3 and F90BT. You might be surprised how easy installation has gotten with dash kits and harnesses. You may want to search for installation tips for your car (with any head unit), as many people post information regarding dash disassembly, mic and gps antenna placement, etc. At least be sure you know how to take your dash apart with marring (breaking?) anything. PM me if you would like.

yeah, the only thing I really need help with is really vehicle specific so I don't really think i'm going to be able to find someone, but I'm confident that I can do it on my own
thanks for the info though
