I am planning to install my Z1 into my new Mazda 3, and from what I've read it's pretty cramped behind the deck, especially with a double din unit. I was thinking of removing the wires from the connectors that I don't need on this install (such as all of the extra RCA's as I have no external amplifier yet or additional video monitors). Has anyone ever done this?

Yep, I did this on my F90, it's easy to do. Make a drawing of their location so if you sell it down the road, you can put them back where they belong.
