i have a F900BT installed in a 350Z and after having the avic, the radio reception had deteriorated a lot, does anyone have the same issue and is there an easy fix? im 100% positive that the antenna wire is plugged cuz i was there watching when the guy was installing it

My FM reception is good, my AM, not so good and I think it is just the nature of the beast. You should at least be getting good FM though. Take it back to where you got it installed and let them know.

Does your car have an amplified antenna? Maybe they didn't wire it correctly to make the antenna amp turn on

Connect the Remote Turn-on wire from the deck to the wire in the car that triggers the car's antenna amp

AM coverage and reception for me is spotty at best, and seems to be getting worse over the years in every car I own - agree that is largely the nature of the beast.

The antenna has an amp at least on 2006 model. My base 350Z with the base stereo has the amp wire as pin 5 of the factory harness green/white wire.
