i just installed my z1 in my 07 jetta and i ran into acouple of probllems, it will not power off i hold the av button it brings up a screen with an off button in the left corner i hit it and it just goes to the menu screen. also after installation a couple of lights poped up on my gauge pannel a steering wheel and my esp icon. has anyone had any of these problems ?

Turn the car off and test the Red wire coming off the avic, if it still has power that's your problem. You need to connect it to a source that turns off with the vehicle

The 'off' button that you are pressing, only turns off the

av, not the headunit. There is no way to turn off the headunit, is to turn off the vehicle.

that is good to no i was going crazy trying to shut it off !!!! i will reinstall it tomorrow. THX for the info............

You can turn the display off by pressing and holding the 'v' button.
