:( This is my first post, your patience is greatly appreciated. I paid a local installer to do the bypass on my Z2 (He disconnected the speed sensor and grounded the parking brake wire.) It worked when I left the shop, then I tried to change the setting on the three circle screen to something other than speed since that was not working but it would not let me. As soon as I shut off and restarted my vehicle the bypass quit working. I also get an error message when I start the vehicle about the parking brake. I have searched the posts here and I read that the ground wire must be incorrect for that error message to appear. The speed sensor appears to be the problem because as long as I am not moving I can enter an address. When I brought it back to the installer he reattached the speed sensor to try and "reboot" the system, but it did not work. I downloaded the 30 meg file (found on this forum) as an image, but my version is newer than the version I found on a post here. I am going back to this installer on Tuesday and he tells me there is not much he can do for me other than get rid of the error message about the parking brake. Can someone PLEASE help me so that I can tell him how to fix my Z2? Sorry it is so long but I thought you would like to know all that has been done to accurately help me with this issue. Thank you VERY much for your assistance.

Send your installed to this website:

http://www.sminntech.com/z1flash.html#newbypass

Go to the bottom where it says "07/06 Bypass".

Connect the VSS, as this has nothing to do with the bypass. It does help your navigation to be more accurate.

Ground the parking brake wire, move the mute wire in connector 1 to the correct location in connector 2 and ground it also. When that is done, press the reset button.

That's it!

That really is it -- he was just off the right track before. Worked for me without a hitch.
