Well I picked up my 700bt just after christmas and this morning I finally have it installed.... I did the hardwire bypass which I thought man Im going to have problems of it not being hooked up right and I had thoughts of tearing everything open again! But I started it up and took it for a drive and no problems what so ever...was able to fool around with the nav while driving and no messages! Did the firmware updates that I downloaded a month ago and installed them also. The only thing that sucks is that my phone wont pair with it??? I tryed my brothers phone and it worked right away!! I guess I need a new phone! Just want to thank the forum and all the threads I countlessly read through since I joined in December!! Thanks guys and gals!! well im off to see if I can install a new splash screen!!

Got my splash screen on... looks nice... kinda wish it booted longer so you could look at it haha!! Just have to see what I can do about my phone!

What kind of phone? Maybe someone on here can help

its a LG 8100.... I was thinking its maybe to old...3 years old now!! The phone doesnt pick up the nav unit and or vise versa! Funny thing is that my brothers motorola is even older and it works fine!

Its not so bad really....im going to look into a new phone today. My screen is cracked and black so I need a new one anyway..... I was waiting for my contract to expire....I think I have a few months left only. I wonder if they will let me out of it early?

Well I was playing around with my phone again and to my surprise it paired with the unit!! Does signal quality have anything to do with that? This time I was in a area with full signal. Anyways I tried transfering my contacts, but it said no phone number?? What does that mean?
