Adding a clock to the A/V side

Has anyone added a clock to the A/V side of the unit? I have a F700 and do not always have the map up and running, especially when searching for music and such, but I wish there was a clock on the A/V side, or is this a feature I have not run across.

I searched this forum but have come up with nothing thus far.

Thanks

Okay, now I know why I have never realized that was a clock, it is 3 hours off.

How do you set it? I have looked through the manual and all the screens and if I just missed it then I's a dumy.

Any help would be good. and thanks catch

edit: Also has anyone made it bigger or moved it yet? I think it would mean, from reading posts, hacking the executable files, but has anyone done it yet?

NordicSpawn,

i have the same issue, the A/V clock is behind the GPS clock. I can not find any way to set it. I posted this in the trouble shooting section but got no response.

No problem. You can adjust the time zone in GPS and navi settings. As of date, that clock can not be enlarged, only the color can be changed. The way that clock works is instead of it being an actual clock, each number is a .bmp image which can be found in the common subfolder of the Image.res file. In the coding, it pulls up the appropriate images to display the correct time.

any adjustments i make to the clock only affect the map clock. the A/V clock does not read the same as the map clock. I am not sure how else to explain this but apparently NordicSpawn is also having this issue.

AV stands for Audio/Visual. Movies are Visual

You don't have to explain to me what AV stands for. I understood what he meant, you clearly did not.

I can't keep up with these electronic thing-a-majigs :roll:

As for the clock issue, are you saying they are reading 2 completely different times??

Yes

Which one is displaying the correct time? Did you change the time setting in Navi settings? and have you tried a reset? Also do you have the 2.0 update?

Posted Feb 09, 2009 · 21:17 UTC#16

the clock on the map (the one you cant read during the day) has the correct time. I have tried changing the time settings. I have 2.0, and i only did the reset that the book tells you to do when install is finished. have not done any other reset.

Apparently there was sync issue with windows mobile in the past. The recommended fix was to add this to the sys.txt file. Not sure if it solve the times being different, but it's worth a shot.

[timezone]

sync_os_timezone=0

reset_os_timezone=0

OK, the first thing I would attempt is a reset. If that doen't fix it, I'd go with N-S-E-W's method. If that doesn't do it, the unit may have to be sent in.

When I first go my f90 I was having this same prob.my solution was rather simple, I set the time for my time zone pressed back then menu and went into av but the time was still the same. I turned off my car and turned it back on went strait to setting and reset it for my time zone and then went into av and viola time was set, idk how much that helps you but that's how I fixed mine:)
