Thanks to all of you for your many posts, tips, and tricks on installing the AVIC models. I successfully installed the F90BT in my 2007 Nissan Xterra today, and all is well. Because of this forum, I was able to use the hardware bypass for the parking break (no restrictions playing videos now) and, with some additional help from and Xterra forum, I got the VSS wire connected to my instrument cluster.

 

The most difficult part of the install was the disassembly/assembly of the interior. Everything worked the first time around.

PS - My iPod Classic 160GB wasn't displaying album art, so I used the Restore option in iTunes to wipe and reinstall and everything is fine now.
