Any help would be appreciated....

Just installed a D3 in my 97 Nissan Pathfinder and I have perfect sound in the RADIO, but the DVD, IPOD, Bluetooth, NAV, Sat Radio doesn't have any AUDIO. They all work fine: Plays DVD and IPOD CONTROLS WORK, but no sound.

NO AMPS, factory speakers so far, but im 100% sure of my wiring becasue I had someone who has installed more than 10 of these look over my work. Plus, we used an old aftermarket harness and changed it to a NEW aftermarket harness.

Sounds like your 100% perfect wiring included hooking up the Power Antenna wire instead of the System Remote Control wire. Fairly common mistake. You can either rip it out of the dash and wire it correctly, or you could source the deck to off, go into the initial/setup menu, and change the Power Ant. setting to Power instead of Radio. And remember how you did it in case your battery ever dies or the deck gets reset

I appreciate the help, and that stupid wire was all it took. 10 hrs later and an amp install for no reason as well as 4 rewirings later, I was able to get sound. (oh yea, how come nobody told me the mount was so hard to find??)

Now, onto my new problems....

1) my bluetooth registers with my phone, but my phone won't register with the BT module. It keeps attempting to pair but not finding it. Also, anyone that gets in the car with a bluetooth headset, it's being unpaired. I don't know if that's a symptom or not, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

2) My Nav screen shows me traveiling in REVERSE, and plots the route that way.

3) The Big issue: After running a McIntosh 4ch to my D3, I have great sound in my front but not rear speakers... well, its sound, but it's static. I assume it's because I have a factory BOSE amp in there that I didn't know about(until well after we gutted the car and ran everything down opposite sides of the truck). How do I bypass the BOSE amp without directly going to each speaker in the doors?

Already this site has been INVALUABLE to me....thanks for Any and all USEFUL HELP.

oh yea, just so I don't ge asked because I'm a newbie and forgot to put it. I'm running a AVIC D3 in a 97 Nissan Pathfinder with Fact. speakers and McIntosh Amp. If u don't know about McIntosh Amps, I suggest you learn...

For the Bose amp, can you get to the speakers in the doors, and if so, how many wires are going to the pod? If there are 4-6 wires or so (two input, 1 or 2 power and ground) , each speaker has an amp. If that is the case, look at the two smaller input wires (or better yet, test for power, ground, and turn on). Trace those input wires into the car and tap into them there. Next, take those two input wires going into the pod and extend them to the speaker.

*Note - The input wires should be the same wires you used to hook up the rear speakers in the first place. To test you can disconnect the plug at the Bose pod in the door, and connect a speaker directly to the two wires, you should get sound.

These should be your colors:

Left Rear (+) Light Green

Left Rear (-) Black/Yellow

Right Rear (+) Orange

Right Rear (-) Black/Pink
