Hey Everyone,

I just installed an AVIC700BT in my 2004 350z with factory Bose. The radio and nav system all work perfectly. But I cant seem to get the headunit to play a CD. It says that it is playing on the screen, but all I hear is silence. I have done the "Hardware" bypass on it, just in case you guys need to know that. I have not tested out my iPod yet, as I dont have the cable for it. But like I said, everything but the CD player seems to work fine. What do you think it could possibly be?

Sounds like you hooked up the Power Antenna wire instead of the System Remote Control wire to the factory amp. Fairly common mistake. You can either rip it out of the dash and wire it correctly, or you could source the deck to off, go into the initial/setup menu, and change the Power Ant. setting to Power instead of Radio. And remember how you did it in case your battery ever dies or the deck gets reset
