I picked up a used D1. No disk was included for the NAV. However, I was borrowed my buddies disk from his D1. Legit DVD, not burnt or anything.

I get an error "Inappropriate disk". Anyone have any suggestions?

It had probably already been updated using new nav disks. You have to use that disk or newer, it will not go backwards

Your right. Put in a disc from a CNDV-60M and it works great.

Maybe that is my issue? I really only want to buy 1 disc for this thing, where can one purchase a disk for the CNDV-60M??

If you only want to buy one, buy the CNDV80 disk. Its the newest

Ya, it'll work. Or wait til summer and get the 09 disk
