Yesterday I connected the Illum wire to the car's headlamp switch.

It does work, for I can now set a screen brightness for both with and without headlamps on.

However, I can't find a way to dim the iluminated buttons

Cán this be done at all?

I find the buttons too bright driving in the dark.

When one can change the buittons to about any color he wants, the same must go for how bright it lights up... right?

hack on my friend, im trying to figure this out as well. Im thinking of hooking it up with my dimmer.. we well see who is master and commander or Man Vs Avic after that.

I'm not a devver, but I'm think it should be feasible somewhere in that coloor menu of the buttons.

what color are you using? You can try making a custom color and lowering the values of each color. That's how I dimmed mine, but it won't alternate between bright and dim.

Try was CMIYK suggested, otherwise you're looking at hardware modifications to reduce the voltage the LEDs are seeing.
