OK, i have a 2003 subaru wrx. i purchased this d3 from another guy who had a wrx as well(but an 06) he left the harness wired and everything for me..all i did was plug it in. it had the bypass done to it already. now my brake light is on dash. he did not have this problem...any suggestions?

Im guessing your bypass is wrong..... causing the car to think the e brake is on

That's the confusing part. It sounds like you grounded the vehicle parkibg brake wire...IDK why you would though..

Are you sure your parking brake is fully disengaged ?

yes the parking brake is all the way down............and i didnt ground anything..i just plugged the harness in like he had it...radio to car...no additional wires.
