I have a D1 and I did the hack where you move the ground wire, I think it is, in one of the connectors to enable making seletions while the vehicle is moving. I need newer maps because I live in an area that has a lot of new streets. Will up grading to the new maps/DVD in anyway undo the hack? I sure whould hate to give up the new functionality that the hack allows.

No updating to the newest maps will not cause anyprolems with the hack. I've been running the 60 series maps on my d1 for quite some time now without a hitch.
