sorry if this has been posted before, but this is quick. is there a way to change my background while my ipod is playing or cd or whatever...if there is a way, how do I do it. I'm not talking about splash screen, but the actual background. If there is already a post about this, point me in the right direction. Thanks

Yes, it can be done, but it requires a fairly extensive modification. Do a search for image.res. It can not be done through the Pioneer UI as with the Z Series.
