prob w/z2 and xm radio

Hi,

 

I have installed a z2 and GEX-P10XMT about two months ago. I want to activate my XM subscription but I can't get the receiver id because i can't even get to the intro ch 000. I try to access the receiver via the AV menu but the XM button is gray. I checked the XM signal and it is very strong but the status always says updating. Can someone help me please.

Make sure that you have the XM data cable AND the IP bus cable connected between the Z and the XM tuner. If they are connected, and you have power to the XM tuner, then the button will no longer be grey.

 

"updating" is refering to XM nav traffic status.

also check the bottom of the unit my id was on the bottom of the unit near the serial code.
