So Im about to buy an I-pod or I-touch for my D3 and was wondering which one works. I know that the older ones worked and that they keep coming out with new generations of both. So can anyone update me on which one works.

5.5 gen video, the one that looks like a classic but came out before works fine

And what about the I-POD TOUCH 32 Gig There is only one store in my area that still has the 1st gen. Should I go with the 1st gen. or the 2nd gen. What would work better?? Oh yeah the 1st gen is about $90 cheaper than the 2nd gen.

Well im not really worried about video just want to make sure that I would be able to control it from the d3

The iPhone works with my D3 so I am sure the iTouch would work!

The iPod Touch 1st gen works perfect, you can control from your deck and the D3 will even charge it.

The 2nd GEN Ipod Touch works fine also as far as controling it goes but the D3 won't charge it. There is an adapter that you can use that supposedly works but I can't vouch for it personally.

You will want to use this adapter in conjunction with your D3 & iPod.

So can you play video from the iphone or touch? I don't have any luck because I thought it doesn't play video on the iphone.
