I have a Z-1. My backup camera has always worked fine, until just a few days ago. The GPS was confused so I hit the reset button, and I'm pretty sure (though not certain) that's when the problem with the camera began.

In short, it no longer switches to the camera view when I shift into reverse. However:

• V > Back Camera DOES display the camera view to let me adjust the picture quality, so we know the connection is there and good.
   
  Settings > Hardware > Connection Status DOES show the 'Back Signal' switching between Low and High when I shift in and out of reverse, so we know that connection is still good.
   
  Map > View Mode, the 'Rear View' button is grayed out and unavailable.

I tried resetting again but it didn't help. Any other suggestions??? I am stumped on this one.

have you tried disconnecting the camera and reconnecting it? maybe the unitn has to see it plugged in again..Also when you reset, was the camera polarity setting changed?

Did you turn the camera ON in the menu after you reset the deck?

I searched and searched through all the screens for some function like that, but couldn't find anything. Where is it?

Source the deck to OFF. Think its in initial or setup

Found it, thanks, and that solved it. It's in the A/V settings. Camera turned ON, and everything's hunky dory.
