This is my 2nd Pioneer. I have a D2 in my trailblazer and i bought a F700BT for another. I was excited about some of the mods i been reading but it looks like im SOL. I understand computers and files, IMO enough to do this but im completely confused to whats going on with all these hacks. I just dont get it. My question is, does the F700BT function pretty good right out of the box? Thanks in advance.

Although Pioneer has a different view on eyecandy than its clients I suppose. That is where all the mods come in.

The bypass hack is needed in order to change or enter an ddress (other then stored) without having to pull over. (or watch video for some)

Yeah,,, that hack is pretty simple. Its all the script and so forth being modified thats messing with me.

If you can live with the way the map looks as you find stock images on the web, than you're fine with it as it is

too bad that maps look like someone let their kid go crazy with a crayon, the TTS voices horrible enough for you to blow your own brains out, and the system freezes every once in a while to test out your patience. There are numerous bugs and glitches that obviously hinder the system here and there.

The music from SD card is awesome if you dont mind it cutting off at the end.

changing color on the buttons is cake, but in the screen itself, your gonna need computer knowledge, and a copy of photoshop (legal if possible, lol).
