hey guys. i came upon this problem last night. The radio boots right up and when done booting and about to go to the main screen i see a quick flash of an error saying "program application database cannot be found." Then when it comes to the main screen, I cannot access anything except AV. The starting up, please wait stay on for a couple minutes then it reboots itself.
This all happened when I tried to do the navigation mute button, so I did go into wince mode. I ended up deleting the modded data.zip because it didnt work and renamed my old data-bak to data.zip. Now I have this problem. I tried to reset, delete the saved and setup files in the userdata/igo and userdata/setup.
Now all it does it stay the the pioneer logo and has the error and shows "Program application database cannot be found" then reboots.
Please help me.
Solution that worked for me.
After playing around some, I downloaded the upgrade of the firmware which can be found at:
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Support/Navigation/AVIC+F-Series+Firmware+Update+Download
-i extracted the file with 7-zip file manager.
-opened the new folder.
-open folder LPUE080
-open folder APL2
-open iGO
-look for the "data.zip"
-already having the Testmode and MiTACAP files on my sd card, I dragged the new "data.zip" into my sd card.
-now safely remove the sd card.
-go into your car and with the key not in the ignition, put in the sd card.
-then turn of your radio, it should enter into the winCE
-let it load or save and what not, you should see a green box in the center
-tap the X on top.
-now tap the Start, Program Files, Windows Explorer.
-go to my storage card and find the "data.zip" then edit and copy
-go to my flash disk, APL2, iGO, then you will see DATA or DATA.ZIP.
-rename the original one that you see there to DATA-bak
-then edit, paste.
-exit
-turn off car to reboot the radio.
That is what i did to make it work for me.
