Doing an install on an f500bt tomorrow. Up above the rearview mirror if it matters.

Would like locations on the VSS, Reverse, Parking brake (if bypassing just send to ground?).

Found from searching that on the STI model, VSS was pin 31, the pink/green wire on the back of the instrument cluster. Not sure if this is true for base models also.

Yep, that's what I show for the VSS wire. Speed Sense PINK/GREEN (AC) IN HARNESS TO GAUGES. And you're correct, if you're doing the bypass you relocate your mute wire and ground it along with your parking brake wire.

but do I have a mute wire if this is a f500bt? it isnt a double DIN install. its a suction cup mount with a squid of wires coming out of the cradle.

the reverse trigger is a brown/yellow wire in the passengers kick panel.

having problems with parking brake grounding- any suggestions?
