Just seeing if anyone has any ideas. Im putting in the z-1 in an 06 corvette. Got everything working but no sound. I do have the bose system and used a metra harness. Im thinking the bose amp is not turning on. Is there not enough power to power up the amp? Also I did connect the ill wire with no result. Are you guys connect the dimmer wire also. Any help would be great. Thanks

Do you have a multimeter on hand? If so you can see if the voltage levels are changing on your illumination port. If you turn on your headlights, the voltage levels should increase enough to dim your unit.

That reply has nothing to do with his problem...
His problem is that there are 2 blue wires on the Z1. One is the Antenna and one is the remote turnon feature for amps. If you have the Z1 antenna wire hooked up you have to change a setting in the Z1 for the antenna power to be on "PWR" instead of radio. If you use the remote amp wire, it should work no matter what.

Hey Bd, i found out before reading your post, but yes I had to connect the
power ant wire to the amp turn on lead..?? But its working!
