Hey guys, to sum this up a friend gave me their avic 700 because he felt it wasnt working. I took it home and I get this "System Start up in progress please wait" whats weird it goes through the whole boot up and I am on the main screen and that message it still there. I updated the firm ware ASSUMING that will fix it, wrong!. anyways DL the service manual and it does not go into details into how to fix it. I tell you I had d2 and a d3 and I swear it feels like the screen is getting smaller and the system is not as good. But back to subject I have been on this forum looking for solutions but I didnt find anything close to my situation. If some one can get me to the right directions please pm or reply on here or email me at [email protected].

Were there any software mods done?

Mine did that when I was messing around with sys.txt and put some things in there that 90BT didn't like.

Look around here for an ftp server someone's hosting, then copy the factory data.zip and sys.txt to there proper locations using testmode. Let us know if it helps.

Every time a make up a code that doesn;t work, the system will hang on that part yes.

The only thing you can get to (almost positive) is the settings button
