As long as there is a Double DIN opening for the radio, you should be more than fine.

Just make sure you actually have a double din opening. I dont know about the 06 models, but I know that in the past, a lot of Jeeps had 1 3/4" DIN openings, not double din openings.

Go to Crutchfield.com and put your model car in. They are really good about what fits in what car.

Even if it is a Din and a half could i still make it work?

You could but it would take modification of the dashboard.

The only hard part will be making the z1 fit. You will have to modify the dash that surrounds the radio. The stock radio is a little big smaller and has those stupid bumps on the side. It's nothing a bit of work can't fix for you though.

I installed a AVIC D2 in my jeep G.C. and had to get the dash modifed, you can get a bezel from jeep that will fit it. I had all the work done at a local audio place for $200

you can get a new bezel from any jeep dealer that will work for the factory nav system and metra makes a kit to fit a double din radio in this opening. your jeep has a din and a half size radio. the z1 is double din and jeeps rec nav unit is bigger than double din. the bezel is less than a 100 and the kit about 30.
