one day chimes(seatbelt.reverse.etc) work. next day they are muffled...couple days go by. they are working again...What do you think?....I have a z2 in a 2007 avalanche......mike

They do if you have a newer GM vehicle. The chimes are originally routed through the factory radio somehow. That's why you have to get the extra add on to enable the chimes and onstar to work when replacing it.

To me it sounds like a loose wire or something getting grounded when it shouldnt be.

Thanks...there is a volume adjustment in back of head unit..if it's in between clicks, volume goes soft and loud....thanks again
