Is it possible to boot testmode/WinCE from the usb port/cable? What are the steps? Please help.

buy a $5 sd card and be done with it

My stock navi failed. The F500 was a perfect replacement fit and is custom mounted in-dash. I can't access the SD slot easily.
It would be ideal if I could perform all of my future mods via USB.

You can use USB for modded files but testmode MUST be on the SD card

Try to find a "boot.ini", or resonable facsimilie, file in the OS. There may be a setting where you can change boot order from SD to USB.
