Just installed the avic z-2 did the 2 wire bypass moved the mute wire to different position on the plug via directions i received from avic411. plays when im not moving but as soon as i start to drive it stops playing and says watching dvd while driving is prohibited. then when i stop it starts playing again.. i always have volume but the part that shuts down is the visual part of the video. i just want my video to play while i drive without interruption. any and all info will be highly appreciated

Have you pressed the reset button since you did the bypass? If not, do a reset and see if that fixes your problem.

i did the reset and still nothing. i get the parking brake wire message

ALSO I HAVENT DID THE FIRMWARE UPDATE YET TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO BURN IT..

OK I TOOK OUT THE DVD DID ANOTHER RESET AND NOW IM WATCHING DVD'S WHILE IN MOTION AND I DID NOT DO ANY FIRMWARE UPDATE. AM I GOING TO GET LOCKED OUT SOONER OR LATER? SHOULD I JUST LEAVE IT ALONE OR SHOULD I STILL FIGURE OUT HOW TO DO THE UPDATE?

Leave it alone and see if it locks you out in a day or two.
