New to this forum..I have a Z1 in my Tahoe. I purchased it a few years back along with some circuit that made all the "goodies" work while moving. My question is I want to update my maps. Is there a better disk to buy vs another. Will any updates lock my system up. How do I know which update disk do I purchase. Ya Ya I'm a rookie. Any help will be appreciated.

There are 3 ways to update your maps.

1. Buy the upgrade disc directly from Pioneer.

2. Upgrade your exisiting hdd with the instuctions in the Z-Series Hacks forum.

3. Replace the hard drive with a preconfigured drive.

 

Any of these methods will break your current bypass (it sounds like you have a light flashing device), as this would require the "2 wire bypass".
