Should I go back to my Avic-D1 instead of the F90BT??

Ok, so now I had the F90BT and i experience WAY too many problems with the unit. Unless I can somehow figure out how to fix them, I would go back to my D1.

The F90BT has problems as follows:

1.) In bluetooth, sometimes when I make it louder or softer when in a call, the volume drops to ULTIMATE low, regardless whether I make it louder or not. As soon as I adjust the volume on the screen, volume drops to super low.

2.) The POI don't have an option of just looking up an address by phone number, YET I can look up the place, and dial the phone number because the number IS SAVED in the unit by stock!

3.) While driving, there is no "Fly-mode", meaning if get off a main road, and drive into a parking lot, the car symbol either spins the whole time really confused, or the unit just figures, "hey he should still be on the road...i think".

5.) Sometimes when I turn the car on, the unit doesn't realize its connected to my Ipod, and I have to unplug the USB and reconnect! that a pain in the ass! Also, my video cables are connected, but YET it won't play my videos on the screen, I just get a black screen and see the "play" or "pause" logo on the screen when i press it on the ipod!

5.) While driving, the turning is super slow. My avic-d1 had a gyro sensor(so does the f90bt), but the D1 always knew immediately when i was turning where the F90BT always continues on the road for like 2-5 seconds before it realizes that I just turned, and in the settings the GPS accuracy is on "HIGH". I have the VSS connected and the GPS well placed.

So people, PLEASE, help me out with any solutions to these problems so that way I can keep the F90BT and don't have to return it! please!!!!!

What do you guys think the problem are?

First off I reckon you do a search in the 'Hacks/Mods' section, see if you can find answers to any of your probs. I have the 500 so I can't really advise if you should get rid of your unit, but it does seem to have more faults than you should expect: in fact, none of us should expect any faults with brand new kit!

yeah but the hacks won't really change the majority of the problems. its not gonna help my ipod, and i already looked for the flymode thing.

its just i can't believe pioneer released this unit! this unit is like a hot expensive computer, but with a virus. thats what it feels like! like 40% of the features actually work the way they were advertised!

I get your point, but I directed you there to see if you could find anything relating to your probs, there's a lot more than just hacks and mods. And yes, I also agree with you on the comparison to a virus riddled computer, I've read a lot about the 700/900/90, lucky for me I think the 500 is the least buggy model. Hope you get things sorted, good luck :)
