New to the forum, just had a question I thought of when I was reading some posts. Been reading how you can upgrade a Z1 and a Z2 units to act like they are the Z3. But was wondering when the updates for the Z3 come out for you to update the system can you apply these to the Z2 upgraded device? Sorry if this has been posted before, I could never find it?! Thanks!

You would be flashing the hard drive with a z3 image. So it would then be seen as a z3 and would work with z3 updates when they are available.

When you (software) upgrade a Z1 or Z2 to a Z3, it essentially becomes a Z3, as the hardware is identical (apart from the printed label on the front of the unit saying Z1, Z2 or Z3 )

So anything that applies to a Z3, can be applied to the upgraded units.
